Why I am a Furry

Queer people have always gravitated to alternative scenes. Back when I was at university I was quite interested in a Japanese furry manga called Vilous. From that I developed a wider interest in the furry fandom. The local furry meeting was held in the same gay bar as the pups (pet players / human dogs). This eventually lead me to meet my husband 💍♥️.

Over the last few years I have realised that I allign more closely with the BDSM pup play lifestyle then I do with the furry fandom. Yes that means that I do greatly enjoy pretending to be a dog within the bounds of a long-term power exchange relationship.

I often worry that many people get into the pup community for the wrong reasons so I have included some links to BDSM resources which the reader may find useful under the BDSM resources page.

I can sometimes be found at furmeets, but I don't attend pup/kink/bdsm socials anymore. The local meets are overcrowded which makes BDSM play dangerous and many of the attendees and/or organisers are not individuals whom I wish to talk to. I am still happy to meet new pups or furries outside of these events but I am very weary of new people because of past experiences with the community.

What else do I get up to?

My current hobbies include: maintaining my garden 🪴 🌹, expanding my record collection 💿, drawing some of my fursonas 🖌️ and a few software projects that I have on the go. 💻
